More than conquerors

More than conquerors

Christainity, particularly in America has become a place of passivity and complacency. We see the world, and culture coming and dominating the faith and the church, we are focusing more and more on how we can defend ourselves and keep our ways, and I look and I see this, and I cannot help but feel like we are missing something.

I think of the early church, of the great heroes of the old testament, and I wonder to myself and cannot help but ask myself, where did we go wrong, how did we lose ourselves so much? We have moved past turn the other cheek, and rather we have rolled over and given away ground, ground that so many have fought and died for… but this is not who we are called to be.

Christianity was never called to a place of appeasement, Jesus never cared if he offended or overstepped on cultural norms, we are called after a lineage of warriors, whom would charge through the enemy lines to get their king a sip of water from a well, we are from a line of people who smiled as they were stoned to death and crucified upside down for their RADICAL faith in the Most High God.

We must retake our place as men and women who are willing to fight darkness, not only to defend what we have, but we must go into the enemy’s camp, we must take back the lands that have been lost to us. We are called to be conquerors, but we act not like conquerors, but as one conquered. We give and give and are brought to a place of spiritual submission and bondage, but this is not who we are.

We must become roaring lions of the Christian faith, taking the spiritual fight to our enemy, the principalities, the powers and the spiritual hosts of wickedness that permeate our world, learning to engage in spiritual warfare at all levels, until we are able to finally advance the kingdom and save our neighbors, and hopefully our nation.

Let us seek God, and turn to HIM in all our ways, that we may glorify and exalt HIM always, and pray that He raise up a generation of spiritual warriors ready to take back what the enemy stole.

Amen.

Prologue

This is the Prologue excerp from my book on spiritual warfare I hope to have published this year.

The LORD our GOD had set the writing of this down upon my heart in order that I may be able to attempt to shine some light on a topic that I believe is of the utmost importance and yet is relatively ignored by the church abroad, and there is a certain level of misunderstanding and at times fear of discussing it, particularly amongst college age Christians who face some of the largest attacks from the enemy, as such I hope purely to create a source of information designed to clarify these misgivings. It is not my wish that any individual should think that they should go seeking after spiritual battles, for it is not wise for any man to go seeking for battles and wars neither of the physical nor of the spiritual type, but it is important that we should be educated about these spiritual battles because we will find ourselves engaged in warfare at many times in our lives. There is nothing wrong with educating ourselves about spiritual warfare; in fact it is only by ensuring that we have a clear biblical understanding that we will be able to see victories in our lives over the strongholds of our enemy. In this book I look to discuss the three keys of engaging in spiritual warfare, the first being a strong biblical foundation, the next how we are to defend ourselves and finally how we are to finally become offensive and take back what the enemy has captured and put in bounds, it is our responsibility to offer the freedom of God to those who are kept in bonds.
