Big trouble in China

Turmoil continues in China (Hong Kong) as protestors are still under siege within universities. Many nations are preferring not to take a strong stance in this situation. These riots have many implications, both within China, as well as the broader world at large. Hong Kong has been undergoing a series of changes, many of which the citizens of Hong Kong do not feel will benefit the people of Hong Kong, their fear is that communism will allow for harsh treatments which until now the citizens of the city of Hong Kong have been free from. This is what had started the rioting in the city, however the bill that they were fighting has since been withdrawn, and yet the riots continue, gaining support from all over the world. Here we see a people faced with the dilema of being forced to join a communist regime, in the form of mainland China, or trying to fight their way to gaining a democracy, and they are choosing the latter. For this reason they deserve far more open support than what they are receiving, both from within and without China, and more than that there lies a lesson to be learned from the many nations that are trying to lean towards a communist idealology, namely that the freedom of a democracy is worth dying for, than living under a corrupt comunist regime. The free people of the world should be aiding the riots in Hong Kong, not becuase rioting is the answer, but because they are fighting for freedom, freedom from a corruption that only those who have experienced it can truly understand, or those who have properly studied history. While a lot of direct open support can be difficult for any nation to do, some help aught to be sent to help those who only want freedom in their own nation. It is our job to help fight for freedom abroad, even when it may seem hard, freedom is the bases of our nation, and our ideaology.
